Additional Information
Existing building documentation was poor, due both to the age of the structure - the original building had
been a farmhouse - and the many prior remodels. With this, extensive assessment of existing systems was necessary and completed by LKPB.

Wayzata Country Club
Wayzata, Minnesota
Major Remodel
A 49,000 SF remodel and 10,000 SF addition at the Wayzata Country Club gave much-needed upgrades and space to the small locker rooms, outdated kitchen, support
spaces, meeting rooms and casual dining/bar areas, while respecting the rich traditional appeal of the Tudor-style clubhouse.
LKPB provided complete mechanical and electrical design services for the project. One primary issue was low water pressure that would not adequately
feed additional fire sprinklers. This would have required a water storage tank to serve
the sprinkler needs. Fortunately the project coincided with the City replacing a nearby water main, and this ameliorated the water pressure problem.
The expanded and modernized kitchen required additional water heaters to supply food service needs. LKPB also designed new air handlers. In addition, the building
was brought up to ADA compliancy through this remodel.
