LEED Projects

Sustainability, eco-friendly, energy efficiency - we hear these LEED-related words over and over from clients. They want LEED certification, but don't know how to get there. LKPB has the answers. We have encouraged and guided dozens of clients through the LEED green building certification program, and helped them create amazing buildings that are better for the environment and people's health, combining sustainability and energy efficiency in eco-friendly designs.

Saint John's University
McKeown Community Center
Collegeville, Minnesota

The Center was designed to promote sustainability. Low-flow plumbing fixtures and energy efficient lighting and HVAC systems all help to lower the carbon footprint of this building.

A "real time" energy monitor has been installed and will be used by staff to adjust performance and as an educational tool by environmental studies students. Other sustainable design elements include a rain garden and pervious pavers. LKPB designed this facility to LEED Silver criteria.
